A virgin sandblast with a tear drop shank, capped with boxwood. The bowl has plenty of wood surrounding a tapered 13/16ths bowl, with a beautifully thin handcut German ebonite mouthpiece. The bowl was a straightgrain with several rather broad stripes of grain, and so a blasted finish with a generous amout of rings seemed more impressive to me than leaving it smooth.
