I am very pleased with the way this, my first nose warmer, turned out. The cross grain on this piece was textbook, with the heart of the birdseye placed at the widest point of the sphere on the left side, with the cross grain rippling across the back of the bowl before exploding into a sea of birdseye on the right side of the bowl. The horn saddle plays nicely against the brindle stem and the blackberry stain. Overall, a short and stout piece with American proportions and what I would term a "chunky" blast, with ample capacity for a very satisfying smoking experience.
